Requests FAQs

Requests FAQs

Requests allow you to easily get the information you need from your clients. Perfect for client onboarding, monthly close checklists, tax questionnaires, organizers, and return delivery. Create a list from scratch or use custom pre-built templates.

Does a recipient of a Request get notifications if the Request is overdue?

Request notifications beyond the initial email notification are in the process of being built. We'll have this in an upcoming release!

Can I send one Request to multiple clients?

Yes! You can select multiple recipients for any Request.

Can I change the Request owner to another firm employee after sending it out?

Currently, only the creator of the Request will be listed as the owner. This will be a feature enhancement we release in a future update. However, for Imported Tax Organizers and Tax Returns that you send through Requests, you can change the owner to a different employee during the Import process.

Will I need to be in Pro tier to use Requests?

No, the Requests feature is available to all both Core and Pro tier users. However, only Pro users can save a template and use the organizer delivery feature. For Core users, you can create a blank request or use the system templates provided.

Can the system templates be edited?

While the standard templates can't be edited, you can edit the template that you select to send prior to sending it out.

Will information entered into a Request populate elsewhere in Liscio, or in other sites/programs?

While this is something we hope to have down the road, it's not part of the Requests feature right now. Once a client completes a Request, whether that be a one-time request, a templated Questionnaire, or an Organizer you've imported from your tax software, the information provided in the request will be available to you inside Liscio for data entry by your firm.

If I create a Request template, is it only available for me to use, or can other firm users send that template out as well?

Any template created by your firm will be available to the entire firm to use!

Can I Bulk-Send Requests?

Yes! Requests can be sent in bulk.

What about Recurring Requests?

This is coming, but we're heavily focused on the tax-related features of Requests at this time, and will circle back to this enhancement soon.

Can I export/download the completed Request after it's finished by the client?

Yes! We have an Export option that allows you to create a Zip File containing the PDF of the completed Request and any Files that were uploaded to it. This Zip File will be available for download in your Files page after generation.
