How to Create a Note from a Message
You may want to create a Note from a message you received or sent to a client. Instead of copying and pasting the information into a new note, you can create one directly from the message.
To create a note from an entire Message thread:
- Click on the Message you want a Note created from.
- In the upper-right corner, the Create Note icon will be third from the left. Click on the icon.
- Within the Create Note box, choose an Account and a Contact you want the Note attached to.
- The Title and Description fields are automatically populated based on the message you selected but you can edit those as well.
- Once done editing, click the Create Notes button in the lower-right corner.
To create a note from one message in a Message thread:
- Open the message in the thread.
- Click the Ellipses in the upper-right corner of the message.
- Select Create Note.
- Within the Create Note box, choose an Account and a Contact you want the Note attached to.
- The Title and Description fields are automatically populated based on the message you selected but you can edit those as well.
- Once done editing, click the Create Notes button in the lower-right corner.
You can then view the note in the Notes tab within the corresponding Contact and/or Account page.
