How to Create a Note from a Message

You may want to create a Note from a message you received or sent to a client. Instead of copying and pasting the information into a new note, you can create one directly from the message.

To create a note from an entire Message thread:
  1. Click on the Message you want a Note created from.
  2. In the upper-right corner, the Create Note icon will be third from the left. Click on the icon.
  3. Within the Create Note box, choose an Account and a Contact you want the Note attached to.
  4. The Title and Description fields are automatically populated based on the message you selected but you can edit those as well. 
  5. Once done editing, click the Create Notes button in the lower-right corner.

To create a note from one message in a Message thread:
  1. Open the message in the thread.
  2. Click the Ellipses in the upper-right corner of the message.
  3. Select Create Note.
  4. Within the Create Note box, choose an Account and a Contact you want the Note attached to.
  5. The Title and Description fields are automatically populated based on the message you selected but you can edit those as well. 
  6. Once done editing, click the Create Notes button in the lower-right corner.

You can then view the note in the Notes tab within the corresponding Contact and/or Account page.
