How to Test the Organizer Feature

Interested to see how the organizer feature works, but not ready to send an organizer to a client? You're in the right place!

Before you import anything, create a test Contact and Account with a spare email address that you can login with. While creating the Account, add an External ID such as "Test123".

Create a test organizer with test data from your tax software. Name the test organizer PDF your External ID. Next, you're ready to upload!
  1. Click on the Requests page in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the Import button in the upper-right corner.
  3. Browse or Drag and Drop the PDF organizer generated from the tax software.
  4. Click the blue Begin Upload button in the bottom-right corner.
  5. Optional: If you'd like to assign the draft to a different employee for review, click the drop down next to the Begin Upload button and change the owner.
  6. When you see the Upload complete, requests generation in progress... confirmation pop-up, click the blue Close button in the bottom-right corner.
  7. Navigate to the Drafts tab.
    1. Note: It make take a few minutes for the upload to complete processing. The draft will appear at the bottom of the list once finished.
  8. Click on the draft to open it
  9. Add a Request Title - testing name recommended!
  10. Add your testing Contact/Account as the Assignee, and then click the blue OK button.
  11. Choose your Due Date.
  12. Click Send
Your test Contact will get an email to login and complete the organizer. Try it on your mobile phone or on a computer to see exactly how your clients will experience the organizer feature!
