Conditional Questions

Conditional Questions

What are Conditional Questions?

Conditional Questions on Requests are questions that only populate for the assigned individual to complete if they answer the prerequisite question before it.

For example:

Did your marital status change last year? Yes/No (Prerequisite question)

If the assignee answers "Yes", they will see the Conditional Question:

Please explain the change to your marital status last year. (Short Answer) (Conditional Question)

If the assignee answers "No", they will not see the Conditional Question shown above.

How do I create a Conditional Question?

When creating questions in a Request, after typing the question, you'll see a toggle called Conditions.

By toggling this, you'll have the option to add a Conditional Question.

How will this appear to my clients/assignees?

On Desktop, the Conditional Question will be below the original question, and will be numbered "X.1".

On Mobile, since it only shows one question at a time, the only indication that the question is Conditional will be the "X.1" numbering, so make sure the wording of your Conditional Questions are clear enough that the client knows what it's referring to.

NoteConditional Questions are only available to firms on a Pro-Tier subscription. Please see the Admin -> System Billing page to upgrade.
