Creating a Request

 Requests allow you to easily get the information you need from your clients. Perfect for client onboarding, monthly close checklists, tax questionnaires, organizers, and return delivery. Create a list from scratch or use custom pre-built templates.



How to Create a Custom Request

  1. Click on the Requests page in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the +Requests button in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click the +Blank Request button in the upper-right corner.
  4. Add a Name/Title to your Request
  5. Add a Description, if desired.
  6. Add a Section title.
    Note: Sections and Subsections are used to differentiate different parts of your Request.
  7. Click the blue symbol under the Section title in the left-hand pane.
    1. You'll be given the option to either add a Subsection or a question.
      1. There are three types of questions:
        1. Y/N questions are used when you have a specific Yes or No question.
          1. i.e. Did your Address Change?
        2. Short answer questions are used when you need a variable answer.
          1. i.e. What is your new Address?
        3. File upload questions are used when you are requesting the recipient to upload a file.
          1. i.e. Please provide proof of your new Address.
  8. Using Sections, Subsections, and questions, you'll go through your Request adding each where you'd like.
  9. Once completed, you can choose one of two options:
    1. Save and Exit will save a draft of the created Request that you can send out at a later time.
    2. Preview and Send will bring you to the Review and Send screen.
      1. Adjust your Request title, if desired.
      2. Add your assignee Contact and Account, and then click the OK button.
      3. Choose your Due Date.
      4. Click Send.

How to Create a Request from a Template

    1. Click on the Requests page in the left-hand menu.
    2. Click the +Requests button in the upper-right corner.
    3. Click on the template you'd like to send out
    4. The Template will open, and you'll be given the ability to make edits prior to sending it to your client.
    5. Once completed, you can choose one of two options:
      1. Save and Exit will save a draft of the created Request that you can send out at a later time.
      2. Preview and Send will bring you to the Review and Send screen.
        1. Adjust your Request title, if desired.
        2. Add your assignee Contact and Account, and then click the OK button.
        3. Choose your Due Date.
        4. Click Send.
