Setting up SMS Two-Way Texting
Two-Way, SMS Texting allows firms to take advantage of all the benefits of text messaging without the hassle of laboriously moving information or files received via text into Liscio. With this feature, firms will have a dedicated phoneline accessed inside Liscio and reachable by clients for texting messages, images, and more!
Enabling SMS Two-Way Texting:
Any Firm Administrator will be able to enable the entire firm to use SMS: Two-Way Texting.
- Navigate to the SMS page.
- Click Enable SMS.
- Fill in the requested fields.
- Once completed, it will send your information to Liscio to set up SMS for your firm. You'll be alerted once setup has been completed.
Activating SMS for your User in Liscio
Once SMS has been enabled for your firm, any user in your firm will be capable of having a line provisioned for their User in Liscio.
Note: Activating SMS for a user results in billing adjustments for your firm. If you wish to only have certain users with SMS capability, please make sure that your team is on the same page on who should be activating SMS for their User in Liscio.
- Click on the SMS page in the left-hand Menu.
- You'll see this screen:
- Click the Send SMS button.
- Your provisioned line with be assigned, and you'll be brought to the SMS page, where in the corner you'll see your line's specific phone number, and the button to send your first SMS message to a client.
- And that's it! You're now ready to begin texting through Liscio's SMS: Two-Way Texting feature.
Note: There will be times when no phone numbers with specific area codes, related to a firm's zip code, will be available. This is due to the amount of phone numbers Bandwidth actually purchases for customers to use. There is no idea of a waitlist with Bandwidth for additional numbers. The options in that situation are to offer a different area code close by or a refund.
