General
What is the new folder feature in Liscio?
Folders give you a structured way to organize files by service type - for example, bookkeeping, tax, and payroll - with subfolders that follow how firms actually work.
Rather than relying only on tags and search, your documents are grouped into clear, predictable folders, and Liscio's file intelligence handles the sorting for you.
The specific folder templates and structure are still being finalized and will be shared closer to launch.
When will folders be available?
Folders are currently in development. Keep an eye on product announcements for updates.
Will folders cost extra, or are they included in my current plan?
Final pricing details for folders haven't been confirmed yet and will be shared closer to launch. If you have questions about how folders may apply to your account, reach out and our team can help.
Will folders work the same across all Liscio plans, or only on certain tiers?
Plan and tier availability is still being finalized. We'll share details closer to launch.
Folder Structure & Setup
How will folders be organized?
Folders are organized by service type, with subfolders that reflect the periods firms work in. The exact templates and structure are still being finalized and may change before launch, so we're not publishing the specific layout yet. Additional templates for other workflows are being considered for the future - if there's something you'd like to see, let us know.
File Intelligence & Auto-Filing
Will Liscio automatically put files into the right folder?
Yes. When a supported document is uploaded or received, Liscio's file intelligence reads it, identifies what it is, and files it into the right folder for you - the same document intelligence that already powers file naming and search in Liscio.
Can I correct a file that was sorted into the wrong folder?
Yes. You can move files manually. When you do, Liscio tracks the correction, which helps train the system to improve routing accuracy over time.
Existing Files
What happens to my existing files when folders launch?
Details on how existing files will be handled at rollout - whether they'll be auto-organized, left as-is, or migrated through a firm-initiated process - will be shared closer to launch.
We recommend not reorganizing your current files in anticipation of the change until we provide migration guidance.
Permissions & Sharing
Can different staff members at my firm have different access to folders?
Firm-level visibility stays the same as it is today in Liscio — governed by Restricted Accounts and Employee Roles.
