Intuit Practice Management Integration: Syncing Records
After you have established your Liscio-Intuit Practice Management connection, you can begin syncing your records. This can be done automatically or manually.
Caution
- Do not sync Intuit Practice Management before we have your client data uploaded. This will cause duplicates.
Automatic Syncing
Click the ellipses (three dots) in the lower-left corner, then, Admin, then Integrations.
Under the Karbon integration, click Sync Now.
This will bring your Intuit Practice Management Organization and People data into Liscio and will take a few minutes. During this process, your existing Liscio Accounts and Contacts will be linked to your existing Intuit Practice Management Organizations and People wherever the names match exactly (case insensitive).
When the sync is completed, all three buttons will turn blue.
If a match is found, the following fields will be synced:
Accounts: address, phone number, website address
Contacts: title, primary email
Manually Syncing
If there are Accounts or Contacts that did not sync automatically, you can do so manually.
Under the Karbon integration in Liscio, click View Details.
Use the search box to find the record you would like to sync.
Hover over the record and click on the magnifying glass on the far right.
Use the search box to find an existing record.
Hover over your selection and click the link icon on the far right.
The following field will be synced:
Accounts: address, phone number, website address
Contacts: title, primary email
During the First Sync
If any of the fields listed above has a value in either Liscio or Intuit Practice Management, but not in the other, it is automatically updated wherever it has no value.
If a field has a value in Liscio and in Intuit Practice Management, the value in Liscio will overwrite the value in Intuit Practice Management.
During Subsequent Syncs
If a field has a value in Intuit Practice Management but not in Liscio, no change is made in Intuit Practice Management or in Liscio.
If a field has a value in Liscio but not in Intuit Practice Management, the field is updated in Intuit Practice Management.
If a field has value both in Liscio and Intuit Practice Management, the Liscio value overwrites the Intuit Practice Management value.
New Accounts/Contacts created in Liscio will be automatically created and linked in Intuit Practice Management (including Contacts created by Account Owners). If a linked record is updated in Liscio, the changes will be automatically updated in Intuit Practice Management. If a linked record is updated in Intuit Practice Management, the changes will not be reflected in Liscio.
If a record is created in Intuit Practice Management, you will need to run another sync in order for that record to show up on the Intuit Practice Management integration page in Liscio. You will then need to click the create in Liscio icon in order to create the Account/Contact in Liscio.
Note: Record names are not synced. If a Liscio and Intuit Practice Management record are synced, their names may be different due to different capitalization, or if they have been synced manually.
Note:
Relationships do not sync. For example, if you have multiple contacts associated with an account in Liscio, those contacts will not be related to the organization when synced to Intuit Practice Management.
