Send CCH returns straight to Liscio

When you print a client copy of a return from CCH to your _Upload_To_Liscio_ folder, FileConnect brings it into Liscio for you. You don’t need to download it and upload it again.

Note: You need to set up FileConnect first. It takes under 2 minutes. See how to set up Liscio FileConnect.

Print a return from CCH to Liscio

  1. Open the client’s return in CCH.

  2. On the Home tab, select Print > Print Entire Return.

  3. In the Print Entire Return window, select Client, and uncheck Accountant and Government.

  4. In the Client row, set Print to to PDF.

  5. Make sure Password protect PDF(s) is unchecked.

  6. In the Client row, select Browse next to Path and filename.

  7. In the Save As window, select OneDrive - [your firm’s name] from the list on the left. Don’t choose the plain OneDrive entry, which is usually a personal account.
Tip: If you don’t see it, scroll down the list, or type _Upload_To_Liscio_ in the search box.

  8. Select the _Upload_To_Liscio_ folder.

  9. Select Save.

  10. Select Print.

Tip: If the Client row’s Path and filename already shows your _Upload_To_Liscio_ folder, you can skip steps 6–9.

Find your return in Liscio

Your return appears on the Files page, under the FileConnect tab. It’s tagged FileConnect and filed under your Firm account until you route it.

Note: Once a return reaches Liscio, it’s removed from the _Upload_To_Liscio_ folder. This is expected, so don’t worry if the folder looks empty.

What’s next

Send the return to your client with Smart Tax Delivery, or turn it into a Smart Tax Organizer. You can route one return at a time, or select several and route them all at once. See how to send tax returns from your tax software to Smart Tax.

After you route a return to Smart Tax Delivery, Liscio processes it, and it then appears as a draft on the Smart Tax page under Delivery Requests.
