File Intelligence FAQ

Written by Liscio Support

Do I need to set anything up for File Intelligence to work?

No. File Intelligence is automatic for every file uploaded to Liscio on or after June 3, 2026. The only optional step is customizing your firm's naming template, which controls the format used when files are renamed. We recommend doing this so renamed files match your firm's existing conventions.

Why do files show as needing review?

Files appear in the "Files need review" count when they are uploaded by a client and renamed by File Intelligence. This gives your firm the opportunity to review the name and make any changes if needed. Saving or uploading a file doesn’t automatically remove it from this list—the file stays there until it’s explicitly reviewed.

How does the Files Needing Review number go down?

The number is reduced when a file is marked as reviewed. Once reviewed, the file is removed from the list and no longer counted.

What does the “Mark as reviewed” pop-up mean?

After editing a file name or tags, you may see a confirmation asking if you’d like to mark the file as reviewed. This simply lets the system know that your team has finished reviewing the suggestions for that document.

  • Selecting Yes, mark as reviewed removes the file from the Files Needing Review list

  • Selecting No keeps the file in the list so it can be reviewed later

Why is the “Mark as reviewed” step required?

This confirmation ensures your team doesn’t accidentally clear files before they’ve been reviewed. It also helps keep the files need review list accurate and organized.
