File Speed Matching allows you to attach uploaded documents directly to the correct questions within a Smart Tax Organizer, reducing file chaos during tax season.

What Is File Speed Matching?

File Speed Matching provides a dedicated workspace where documents uploaded by your firm or client are displayed alongside the organizer. From there, you can quickly review, match, and organize files before exporting and moving forward with tax return preparation.

How It Works

  1. Open the organizer where you want to match uploaded documents to requested questions.

  2. From within the organizer, select Match Files to enter the file matching workspace.

  3. Review Attached Files

    • On the left side, you’ll see all files already attached to the organizer.

    • On the right side, you’ll see files associated with the contacts assigned to the organizer that have been uploaded by either the client or your firm.

  4. Match Documents
There are two ways to match files to the appropriate questions in the organizer:

    • Drag and drop files from the right-hand side into the matching slots on the left.

    • Use the dropdown menu next to a file to attach it to the correct question.

  5. To ensure accuracy, you can preview any document before matching it.

  6. If a file isn’t relevant to the organizer, you can hide it from view and address it later in the client’s file section.

  7. You can also toggle hidden files back into view or hide files that have already been matched.

  8. Your progress is saved as you match files.

  9. When you’re finished, click Back to Organizer to return to the main view.

    1. Matched documents will now appear in the organizer for both you and your client to see.

  10. After matching all files, export the organizer as a ZIP file.

  11. The export includes all matched documents, the completed Liscio organizer, and the source organizer, so you can seamlessly move on to the next step in your tax return preparation process.
