With Requests, firms are able to send Tax Organizers from the most popular tax programs through Liscio to their clients. Rather than send your clients paper or to another site or program to complete the organizer, they can answer those important questions in the same place they communicate with your firm!
We are currently compatible with these tax software for our Organizer feature:
- UltraTax
- CCH Axcess
- Intuit Proseries
- Drake
- Lacerte
- ATX
There are three parts to quickly uploading an organizer to your client:
Importing Organizers
Before you can import your organizers, you'll need to download your clients' organizers from your tax software. As you download these PDF organizers, you'll want to make sure that the Client ID for each organizer is in the PDF file title AFTER the underscore: "Smith, John and Jill_1234568.pdf"
Drake's Client ID is the client's SSN, so Drake users do not need to add this to the filename. Instead, we match the client by email address, so be sure it's populated in the organizer.
Lacerte only allows for a dash, no underscores. We are working to match by email address for Lacerte as well. In the meantime, the following can be done: manually change the file name, match the client to the organizer when sending, or rename files in bulk with these instructions:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtFOhvWPlIE.
Note: You can only use full, unedited organizers. Lite (with the exception of UltraTax Lite), condensed, or edited versions will not populate prior year information.
For your organizers to match up to your Accounts in Liscio automatically, you'll want to make sure the Client IDs from your tax software matches up with the External ID on your Accounts in Liscio. Please reach out to Liscio Support if your Client IDs do not match and you'd like assistance bulk editing them. If your IDs don't match, you can still upload your organizers and manually pair them to your clients. When you make a match yourself, the organizer Client ID will automatically edit the External ID on the Account to match for the future.
