Text Notifications in Liscio

Liscio can send text notifications for:

  • Invites

  • The first message in a new thread (but not for replies)

Text notifications are helpful for important updates, like letting a client know their tax return is ready or reaching someone who’s hard to contact by email.

Managing Text Notification Preferences

  • Clients can opt out of text notifications at any time.

  • When someone opts out, you’ll be notified.

  • Clients will also receive instructions on how to opt back in if they choose to resume receiving texts.

When you use the Notify Via Text feature, the client receives all standard notifications: an email, and—if they have the Liscio mobile app installed with notifications enabled—a push notification, in addition to the text message.

To Enable Text Notifications for a Contact:

  1. Select the Contacts tab from the left-hand navigation.

  2. Search for the Contact using the search bar.

  3. Select the ellipsis (three dots) next to +Message.

  4. Select Edit Contact.

  5. Select Additional Details.

  6. Add a Mobile Phone Number.

  7. Select the Allow Texting checkbox.

  8. Select Update Contact.

Two Ways to Notify Via Text:

  1. Select the ellipsis (three dots) in the Contact's profile → Select Send Invite (or Resend Invite).

  2. Select +MessageCheck the Notify via Text box before sending the message.
