Before You Upload a Tax Return

Before importing a tax return into Liscio, you must print the return correctly from your tax software and prepare the PDF according to Liscio requirements.

Printing Instructions by Tax Software

Follow the printing instructions for your specific tax software:

Only long-form 1040 returns are supported.

PDF Preparation Requirements

The tax return PDF must meet these requirements:

Print Settings

  • Use the native print function from your tax software

  • Do not use a PDF print driver

PDF Requirements

The PDF must:

  • Not be password protected

  • Not contain watermarks

  • Include the taxpayer email address on page 2 of the Federal 1040

  • Contain both Federal and State returns in one single PDF

Do not upload multiple PDFs.
